==About KegHier

  KegHier is a stand-alone Java application for browsing and 
  searching functional hierarchies in KEGG BRITE. It handles 
  specially formatted text files, called hierarchical text files. 
  The default files are shown in the file list on the left, 
  and additional files may be obtained from the KEGG web server 
  (or the iKeg server if it is installed). You may also prepare 
  your own hierarchical text file for use in KegHier.

==Requirements

  - MacOS X 10.2.8 or higher
  - Java 1.4.x

  or

  - Windows XP
  - Java 1.4.x

  or
  
  - CentOS Linux 4.3
  - Java 1.5.0

==Installation and Running Application

  For MacOS X
   Simply drag and drop the KegHier program file included in the disk
   image (KegHier-*.dmg file) or into your local disk.

   Start KegHier by double clicking the KegHier program file.
   
  or

  For Windows
   Simply expand the KegHier archive file(KegHier-*_for_Windows.zip file).
   
   Start KegHier by double clicking the KegHier bat file(KegHier.bat).

  or
  
  For Linux (CentOS)
   Simply expand the KegHier archive file(KegHier-*_for_Linux.tar.gz file).
   
   Start KegHier using the following command.

    > cd [Installation Directory]
    > ./KegHier.sh

   - You need to set the browser program path first time.
     (Open the preferences panel (Menu bar > Help > Preferences).)
